Terms of Use

Agreement to these terms

By using velprio.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you are using Velprio on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

What Velprio is

Velprio provides eight tools for working with PDF files: Merge PDF, Split PDF, Extract Pages, Organize PDF, Watermark PDF, Flatten PDF, PDF to Image and Image to PDF.

All eight run entirely in your own web browser, on your own device. They are free to use and require no account. If we ever add a feature that needs processing on a server, it will be clearly identified as such before you use it, and our Privacy Policy will be updated first.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you process with Velprio. Because the tools run in your browser and your files are never transmitted to us, we never receive them and acquire no rights over them whatsoever. We could not claim, copy, publish or examine your documents even if we wanted to.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to process any document you open with Velprio, and for complying with any obligations that attach to it — for example confidentiality duties, or data protection law covering personal information the document contains.

Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following:

  • Process content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to handle.
  • Attempt to disrupt or overload the site, or to gain unauthorised access to any system behind it.
  • Use automated means to flood the site with traffic, or to republish it as your own service.
  • Misrepresent your identity in a way intended to deceive or cause harm.

Examining the code that this site sends to your browser is not prohibited. We encourage it — it is how you can verify for yourself that your files are never uploaded.

What our tools do and don’t guarantee

Each tool performs the specific operation it describes. Two of them are easy to read as doing more than they do, so it is worth being exact:

Flatten merges form fields, annotations and other interactive elements into the page, so they can no longer be edited separately in most PDF viewers. It is not encryption, not password protection, and not a guarantee against modification — someone using specialised software could still alter or recreate the content. If you need access control, use a dedicated password or permissions tool.

Watermark places text or an image onto the page. It marks a document; it does not prevent anyone from removing the mark or from copying the content underneath it.

No tool here guarantees that a processed file is identical in every technical respect to the original beyond the change you asked for. Please check the result before relying on it for anything that matters — a signed contract, a legal filing, a submission with a deadline — and keep your original file until you have.

No warranty

Velprio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be fit for any particular purpose.

Because the tools never transmit your files to us, we have no ability to recover a file you lose or damage while using them. Keep your own copy of anything important before you edit it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velprio is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of data, business or revenue.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Your rights as a consumer

If you are using Velprio as a consumer, you have rights under the consumer protection law of the country you live in, and nothing in these terms affects them.

In particular, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, choosing Indian law below does not deprive you of the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there. How we handle personal data, including your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes to the site

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of Velprio at any time. We will try to give notice of significant changes, but cannot guarantee advance notice in every case. The tools are offered free of charge and we make no commitment that any particular tool will remain available.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Velprio changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and the revised terms apply from the moment they are published. If you continue using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them — subject always to the consumer rights described above, which may entitle you to bring proceedings in the country where you live.

If a term is invalid

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part applies to the fullest extent the law allows, or is removed if it cannot, and the remaining terms continue in force.
