Split PDF
Split a PDF into several files.
Split PDF Online
Split a PDF into separate files: one file per page, equal parts of a set size, or custom page ranges you choose. Whether you need to separate PDF pages, cut a long report into chapters or divide a scan into several documents, Velprio does it directly in your browser, so your file is never uploaded to a server. The results download together as one zip.

Why use Velprio’s online PDF splitter?
Three ways to split
Separate every page into its own file, divide the document into equal parts of any size, or type exact page ranges — 1–5, 6–15, 16–20 — and get one file per range.
Check the pages before you cut
Preview any page full size, turn pages the right way up, or drop pages you don't need. Removed a page by mistake? Undo puts it back where it was.
One tidy, well-named download
All the split files arrive together in a single zip rather than a pile of separate downloads. Choose the label and where it goes in each name, so the files sort the way you expect when you unzip them.
Private by design
Your document never leaves your device. The whole split, zip included, happens in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions about splitting PDFs
Is Velprio free?
Yes. The browser-based split tool is free, with no account or sign-up required.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. The split operation runs locally in your browser — your file is never sent to a server.
How do I split a PDF into individual pages?
Select your PDF, choose "Split into single pages", and click Split. Every page becomes its own PDF file, and they all download together as one zip.
How do I split specific page ranges, such as pages 3–5 and 7–9?
Choose "Split by custom ranges", enter 3 to 5 as the first range, then use Add range to enter 7 to 9. Each range becomes its own PDF. Pages not covered by any range are left out, and the tool tells you how many. If you want pages 3–5 and 7–9 together in one file instead, use Extract Pages.
Can I split a PDF into equal parts?
Yes. Choose "Split every" and enter the number of pages per file — for example 10 to cut a 100-page document into ten 10-page PDFs. If the page count doesn't divide evenly, the last file simply has fewer pages.
Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
No. Splitting separates existing pages without re-encoding them, so text, images, and formatting stay identical to the original.
Is there a file-size or page limit?
There is no hard limit. Because splitting runs in your browser, the practical ceiling depends on your device's available memory. Most documents up to several hundred pages work without issues. If a split would create more than 200 files, the tool warns you first, since that is usually a mistyped number.
Does it work on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android?
Yes. The splitter runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari — so it works the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android, with nothing to install.
Is it safe to split confidential documents online?
With Velprio, your document is never sent anywhere. Many online PDF tools upload your file to their servers, so you have to trust how it is stored and when it is deleted. Velprio splits the file inside your browser on your own device, so there is no copy on a server to be kept, leaked or accessed by anyone else.
